Combiner Jason Lamy-Chappuis has to give up a start in the World Cup until mid-January. An injury to the fibula forces the 2010 Olympic champion and three overall World Cup winners to take a break of several weeks. The Frenchman only made his comeback at the beginning of the season after a two-year break.

Lamy-Chappuis is currently planning a return to the World Cup in Val di Fiemme (12. till 14. January). The 31-year-old had already complained about pain at the start of the season in Kuusamo, Finland, after landing in Lillehammer. So far, Lamy-Chappuis, who has set the Olympic participation in South Korean Pyeongchang as his goal, is not over a 29th place in the World Cup. Rank out.
