NBA: Spurs: Kawhi Leonard’s comeback this weekend?

At the San Antonio Spurs, the comeback of the long-term injured Kawhi Leonard seems to be approaching. According to media reports, he could be back on the floor at the weekend.

The San Antonio Express News and ESPN write that the away game at the Phoenix Suns could become Kawhi Leonard’s comeback day on Sunday night (German time). On Thursday and Friday he was able to train fully with the team.

Leonard missed the previous 25 games due to an injury in the quadriceps. His return was repeatedly delayed – coach Popovich said that he had “never experienced” an injury like Leonard’s before.

If the game against Phoenix should come too early – the Spurs have to go away three times in a row – the Dallas Mavericks should be ready at the latest three days later in the rival duel. With this, the hospital of the Spurs is relieving itself: with a comeback of Leonard’s, only Kyle Anderson (stretching the ligament in her knee) would be out until the end of December.
