He continues:”I feel good physically and I don’t forget anything. I’ll ignore the birthday itself, however, as best I can.”
Bauermann, who turned 60 on Sunday, keeps the celebration small:”I will invite players and employees – that’s it. The club wanted to do a big thing, but I don’t want to do that,”said the jubilarian.
He doesn’t know how long he will be working as a trainer “I never thought about quitting. When the day comes when I’m tormenting myself to practice, I’ll end it.”
Bauermann appreciates his role in Würzburg, where he has won nine championship titles as the most successful coach in the history of the Bundesliga:”What I like about the city – here I get my bread after defeats. In Greece, after bankruptcies in the bakery, people were always around me.”
