Biathlon: German women’s relay sets a clear signal with victory

The German women’s biathlon relay team has made a clear statement at the World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria. Vanessa Hinz (SC Schliersee), Franziska Hildebrand (Clausthal-Zellerfeld), Maren Hammerschmidt (Winterberg) and Laura Dahlmeier (Partenkirchen) won the race over 4×6 km ahead of Ukraine (+44.9 seconds) and France (+1:04.5).

The team of the German Ski Association (DSV) had also triumphed in the same line-up at the World Championships in February.
