Ski-Alpine: Poor visibility: women’s Super-G in St. Gallen.

The second ladies’ World Cup Super-G in St. Gallen. Moritz and the additionally planned combination have been cancelled by the International Ski Federation (FIS). Snowfall and fog on Sunday morning caused extremely poor visibility, which did not improve even after two postponed starts. So those responsible decided to cancel the races.

The Super-G should have been driven originally from 10.30 a. m., the start of the combi-slalom would have been at 1.30 p. m.. On Saturday, the first Super-G on a shortened track was held at the World Championship venue in February 2017. The winner was the Swiss Jasmine Fleury. The next women’s races will take place this weekend in Val d’ Isere.
