NFL: Josh McCown breaks his hand against Denver Broncos in the game

The New York Jets 5-8 will have to give up Josh McCown in the long run. The veteran quarterback broke his hand in the game against the Denver Broncos and could be eliminated by the end of the year.

McCown had to leave the playing field last Sunday at the end of the third quarter and went immediately towards the cabin for further investigation. Bryce Petty then took over for the 38-year-old, but only sold 2 of 8 passports for 18 yards.

The experienced playcaller has so far been one of the big surprises of the season, pitching for 2,880 yards and 18 touchdowns with only eight interceptions. His quarterback rating is 96.7.

“It’s annoying, you know,”McCown explained after the match,”We started off badly and tried to get back into the game. If you can’t be on the pitch for the boys, that’s one of the worst things. It’s just disappointing.”
