NBA: Kawhi: Comeback probably against Dallas

The long wait seems to be over: The San Antonio Spurs have listed Kawhi Leonard as “probably” for the game against Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.

Originally, the Spurs had set their sights on the game against Phoenix on Saturday, but Leonard himself asked for “a few more days” according to ESPN. Now it should be so far against Dallas (2.30 o’ clock in the LEAGUE PASS).

Leonard has missed all 27 of the Spurs’ season’s games so far, as he was injured in the right quadriceps this summer. With a 19-8 record, however, San Antonio has in the meantime sold very well and is currently ranked third in the Western Conference.

Leonard was considered to be one of the favourites for the MVP Award before the season, but the injury has paralyzed him for much longer than first assumed. The two-time defensive player of the year scored an average of 25.5 points last season.
