Handball: Netherlands in the semi-final of the Women’s World Cup

Vice World Champion Netherlands has reached the semi-finals at the Women’s Handball World Championship. The team around backroom player Estavana Polman won in Magdeburg against outsiders Czech Republic 30:26 (17:16).

Opponents in the round of the best four teams are either Olympic champion Russia or world and European champion Norway, who determine the last semi-finalist in the evening.

The second duel for the final is between France and Sweden, who won on Tuesday. The Swedes won against Germany-Bezwinger Denmark. The DHB team was eliminated in the last sixteen.
