Ice hockey: U20 World Championship: German juniors celebrate second victory

Germany’s junior ice hockey team kept their chances of advancing at the U20 World Championships in France with their second victory in the third game. The team of national coach Christian Künast won against the unbeaten hosts 4-0 (3-0,0-0,1-0,1-0) and finished third with seven points on the same score as Latvia and Kazakhstan.

Only the winner of the so called “Division I, Group A” will be promoted to the “Top Division”. The German juniors had relegated from the top division in January 2015. The next opponent of the Germans is Hungary on Friday.

Dominik Bokk (5th), Moritz Seider (7th), Samuel Soramies (8th) and Charlie Jahnke (60th) were successful in Germany.
