With the Chicago Bulls things are decently on the up – which also has to do with the return of Nikola Mirotic. According to media reports, however, this could soon be traded. The same goes for Robin Lopez.
That’s what the Chicago Tribune reports. Referring to sources within different franchises, a report states that the Bulls have been listening to what is available on the Mirotic market for some time now.
Robin Lopez is also considered to be available in Windy City. His contract runs until 2019 and brings him up to 14.3 million dollars a year. The aim of the bulls is to get assets for both players to advance the rebuild.
Mirotic signed a two-year $25 million contract this summer, the second year being a team option. A potential recruiting team could thus get rid of him in the summer of 2018.
However, the return of Mirotic after his facial fracture caused the Bulls to suddenly win games. With him on the court they are still unbeaten, with 16.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 3 games.
The quarrel with Bobby Portis, who had inflicted the fractures on him, also seems to be halfway settled:”When we’re on the court together, it seems like we’re playing well,”Mirotic said after the Celtics victory.
