NBA: Tony Allen is missing the Pelicans for several weeks

The New Orleans Pelicans have to give up Tony Allen for several weeks. He got an injury to his leg.

As the franchise announced, the wing player was diagnosed with a fracture in the left fibula, which forces him to take a break of three to four weeks. He sustained the injury when he beat the Sixers on Monday. He had fallen hard on the floor.

Allen had come to New Orleans this summer as a free agent. He signed for a year and signed for $2.3 million. In his 22 games so far for the pels he played 4.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12.4 minutes.

The pelicans currently have a long list of casualties. Anthony Davis (Adductors), Dante Cunningham (Knie), Alexis Ajinca (Knie) and Solomon Hill (Thigher Thighs) also fail. The team is in 7th place in the West with a 1414 record.
