The playoff hopes of the Green Bay Packers have received another boost: Aaron Rodgers is on the verge of his comeback in week 15 after a broken collar bone. The packers’ starting quarterback reported via Instagram that the medical department gave him the okay for the groundbreaking game against the Carolina Panthers.
Rodgers had caught a collarbone fracture in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings after a tackle from Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr and for a long time it was unclear whether the quarterback could return again in the regular season.
“It’s been a long way from the day of the injury to today, but now I’m overjoyed to say that I can return,”Rodgers wrote on his Instagram page:”Thank you for all the love, support, prayers, and recovery wishes over the past eight weeks and a special thank you to Dr. Mckenzie and our incredible medical department.”
For Rodgers, Backup Brett Hundley stepped in and gave Cheeseheads hope for the playoffs with a 3-4 record since A-Rod’s defeat and two close overtime victories over the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Rodgers couldn’t have picked a better time to make his comeback: In the last three regular season games, the Packers will face the strong Panthers (9-4) and then the Vikings and the Detroit Lions against two Division rivals.
