NFL: Kasim Edebali dismissed from Detoit Lions

After only one month, Kasim Edebali’s time with the Detroit Lions is already over. The Defensive End was released from the franchise on Wednesday evening. In four games the Hamburg player could not recommend himself for further tasks.

In Rodney Coe, the Lions signed a contract for a new member of the Seattle Seahawks team. The franchise had to dismiss a player in order to be able to take on the defensive tackler from the waiver list. Dwight Freeney’s recent engagement has also given the Michigan team more room for manoeuvre in the position.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Edebali was used as a Lion in four games, but did not have any stats during that time. At the last game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers he was defeated by his opponent O. J. Howard in Detroit’s final zone.

Edebali, who went into his fourth season in the NFL as Denver Bronco, will now be a Free Agent again. In the 61 games of his career, the German has so far scored 55 tackles and eight sacks.
