Does Dirk Nowitzki hang on to his career for another year after the current season? He has now commented on this – and it looks good. Coach Rick Carlisle also commented.
“I’m not saying it’s already 100 percent certain that I’ll be back for another season – but it looks like it will be,”Nowitzki said to Dallas News on Thursday,”I feel good, I’ve played every game so far. I would like to play all 82 pieces. That would be incredible for a 39-year-old.”
However, he added a restriction afterwards:”Of course we have to see how my body feels after the season. But now things are looking pretty good.”
Dirk still owns a $5 million contract for the coming season. It’s a team option. However, it is ruled out that the Mavs will not comply with Dirk’s wishes.
Dirk is already in his 20th birthday. Season at the Mavericks. He averages 11.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in an average of 25 minutes play time.
Coach Rick Carlisle said on the subject after the recent game against the Warriors:”He feels good after a third of the season. That’s the most important thing. I’m hoping like crazy he’ll come back for another year. And the way he works and trains, it looks good.”
