Ski Alpin: Ferstl hinders ÖSV double victory in one hundredth thriller

The Super-G of Val Gardena was a test of patience for the skiers. After a longer interruption due to snowfall and bad visibility, the race on the Saslong was still to be completed and Josef Ferstl found a surprising winner.

The German, whose best Super-G result so far had been a fifth place, triumphed in front of the ÖSV duo Max Franz (+0.02) and Matthias Mayer (+0.10). Vincent Kriechmayr (+0.30) finished fifth behind the Norwegian Aleksandar Aamodt Kilde (+0.22).
