NBA: Carmelo Anthony on his return to New York:”I’m hot for this game.”

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, Carmelo Anthony returns to his former home town, when the Oklahoma City Thunder will perform at the New York Knicks. Kristaps Porzingis said in advance that the former Knicks star should receive a warm welcome. Meanwhile Melo is looking forward to his return to the Madison Square Garden.

“I think he was very professional in his time here,”Porzingis told the New York Post,”I’d be surprised if they didn’t meet again with love,” the Latvian could miss the duel with his teacher. Porzingis was slightly injured in the Battle of the Boroughs against the Brooklyn Nets on his knees and is questionable for the game against OKC.

Porzingis or not. I’m happy to be back and back in the garden again,”said Anthony during the week,” I would lie if I said I’m not hot on this game. At the end of the day, it’s just business for me.”

An exciting question also remains how number seven is received after Anthony has been criticized by many Knicks fans for years and many were relieved when the trade to Oklahoma City was finally completed,”I don’t know how they react. I’ll find out on the court,”Melo also puzzled.

So far Anthony has not been able to keep up with the Thunder. In 27 games, the forward scored only 18.0 points with a throwing rate of 41.0 percent. Both values mean Career Lows for multiple All Star.
