Combiner Eric Frenzel celebrated his first victory of the season at the World Cup in Ramsau. The Olympic champion prevailed against his team mate Fabian Rießle in the final sprint.

Eight seconds back, the Norwegian Jan Schmid followed in third place. After a strong jump to 96.0 m, Frenzel was third in the cross-country ski run, where he quickly took the lead.

Together with Rießle and Schmid, a top trio was formed on the cross-country ski run, in which Frenzel had the greatest reserves at the end.

Vinzenz Geiger (Oberstdorf) as fourth and Manuel Faißt as tenth completed the excellent German result. Record world champion Johannes Rydzek (Oberstdorf) had to contend with the 21st place. I’ll give you enough room.

On Sunday (11.30/13.45 at the LIVETICKER) the last competition of the year follows. Last winter, the German combined teams celebrated two triple wins in Ramsau.
