Ski Alpin: Fable time brings Svindal victory in the downhill classic in Val Gardena

Aksel Lund Svindal is the great triumphator on the Saslong. The Norwegian wins the downhill classic in Val Gardena with an outstanding ride and relegates his Norwegian compatriot Kjetil Jansrud (+0.59) and Max Franz (+0.85) to the ranks.

Already as Svindal, who was 13. started at the start, declining at the finish line, hardly anyone doubts a victory for the experienced racer. The ride that the elk burns into the snow of the Saslong is too impressive. No one can become really dangerous after his fabulous time.

Romed Baumann is sixth in the top 10. Matthias Mayer (16th), Vincent Kriechmayr (18th) and Hannes Reichelt (21st) are not among the top 15. The German Josef Ferstl, sensational winner in the Super-G on Friday, ranks 14th. Hire her.
