Biathlon: Dahlmeier third in the mass start of Annecy

Laura Dahlmeier rounded off her successful World Cup weekend in Annecy, France, with a podium finish. The Partenkirchener finished third in Sunday’s mass start at the first World Cup victory of the local heroine Justine Braisaz (one mistake) and Iryna Krijuko (0). The day before, the 24-year-old Dahlmeier (2) had celebrated her first victory of the Olympic winter in the pursuit, in the sprint she had taken second place.

Until the last shooting everything looked like a German one-two victory. At the first mass start of her biathlon career, Denise Herrmann, who had been leading up to that point, did three penalty rounds and Dahlmeier missed once.

The third World Cup of the Olympic Winter will conclude on Sunday afternoon with the men’s mass start at the LIVETICKER (14.30 hrs).
