The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently only on a more than disappointing 14-15 balance sheet and are now in eighth place at the Western Conference, but Enes Kanter is unimpressed by this.
The Knicks Center, who played in OKC last season, said after his new team’s 111-96 win that he expected a lot more from his former team.”They have three of the best players in the league,”said Kanter regarding Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George in the Locker Room to the assembled reporters.”They had some tough games, but the most important thing is that They have fun together.”
Due to the talents of the three stars, OKC is “still the best team in the West,”Kanter says,”and in the end it will be the playoffs. The fact that all three stars have not yet found their best form is understandable, as the Turk further explained.
“It’s the first time these three players have played together,”says Kanter,”I think they just need some time to get used to each other and build chemistry. But if they’ve done that, I think they’re gonna beat Houston, Golden State or whoever in the West.”
Kanter was traded to New York this summer together with Doug McDermott and a second round pick for Anthony. The Knicks are currently ranked 7th in the Eastern Conference with a 16-13 record.
