The head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, Marvin Lewis, is planning to say goodbye after 15 years. His contract expires at the end of the season, ESPN says Lewis wants to take over a job in the front office of another franchise.

Lewis has been head coach of the Bengals since 2003 and only Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots has a longer term of office from the current coaches. With Cincinnati, Lewis won the AFC North title four times, but failed to win the playoffs in seven attempts.

Besides Lewis, almost the entire coaching staff of the Bengals has only one contract for the current season. Many expect a major upheaval for the Ohio team in the coming season.

In the 2017/2018 season, the Bengals have a record of 5-8 and lost the game last week with a 7:33 defeat to the Chicago Bears, giving them every chance of a playoff move.
