Ski Alpin: Record victory!

Marcel Hirscher wins the giant slalom of Alta Badia ahead of Henrik Kristoffersen (NOR/+1.70 seconds) and Zan Kranjec (SLO/+1.82 seconds) and is on the top of the podium for the third time this season. And it was a very special victory for 28-year-olds. Never before has a racer managed to win the same race five times in a row.

“The second round was pretty awesome. It went really well,”Hirscher, who clinched the victory with two best times running time, rejoiced in the ORF interview. Responding to his Alta-Badia record, he said:”I didn’t know that, I don’t always have it on the radar. But that sounds really good.”
