The Seattle Seahawks are in the doldrums against the Los Angeles Rams after the clear bankruptcy. Linebacker Bobby Wagner played down and had to leave early – Safety Earl Thomas criticized him for deciding to play at all.
“I take my hat off to Wags and the other guys who played beaten up. But I don’t think they should have played. The backups would have done just as well,”Thomas explained after the match.
In response to a specific request regarding Wagner, he added:”Usually he covers the space from one side line to the other, but he couldn’t do that today. I think he waited a little too long to get out of the game.”
Stop being jealous of other people’s achievements. I still hope you’ll continue to do everything you can.”
Wagner deleted the tweet later, but at that time numerous media had already taken up the statement. Wagner was questionable all week long due to a thigh injury, and in some scenes it was evident that he was lacking the usual explosiveness. After a touchdown pass from Jared Goff to Todd Gurley in the third quarter, he finally took himself out of the game.
