Olympia: Doping: IOC cancels Vancouver results of biathlete Gregorin

The Disciplinary Commission of the IOC has confirmed Slovenian Teja Gregorin’s suspension by the Biathlon World Union IBU for doping at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Your individual results from Vancouver will be deleted afterwards. The Slovenian team will also be disqualified from the women’s relay race (eighth place).

Gregorin (37) had had a bad experience during the 21. Winter games, the growth hormone GHRP-2-M2 in the blood, and in the A and B assays at night tests last autumn, it was positive in the A and B assay and initially temporarily suspended by the Biathlon World Association IBU. Gregorin had achieved her best result in 2010 with fifth place in the mass start.

The vice world champion of 2009 in the singles and Olympic rounds of 2014 can appeal against the decision of the IOC Disciplinary Commission in the pursuit before the International Sports Court CAS.

The IOC announced on Wednesday that Vancouver’s re-tests of the games had now been completed and only revealed one positive case – Teja Gregorin.
