Cycling: Armstrong: Froome’s call “forever damaged”

Former cycling star Lance Armstrong is convinced that the reputation of four-time Tour de France winner Christopher Froome after his positive doping test is “forever damaged”:”The damage is done,” said the 46-year-old in his podcast stage:”Even if he is completely exonerated.

Regardless of whether Froome doped or not,”in July, when all this is cleared up, it’s going to be very uncomfortable for him,”Armstrong said,”it’s going to be a huge mess, and I know exactly how shitty it feels. I’m not kidding.”

Armstrong is considered the biggest doping offender in sports history. Even before his confession in 2013, all of his seven Tour de France victories had been revoked.

Froome was conspicuous during his triumph at the Spain round trip in September during a doping test with an inadmissibly high concentration of the asthma drug salbutamol.

This was announced by the World Cycling Federation (UCI) last week. The B-sample confirmed the result of the A-sample. The UCI initially refrained from a suspension in accordance with the rules.
