Basketball: BBL: Munich extends lead in the standings, Ulm with impressive series

The leader of the standings, Bayern Munich, has extended its lead in BBL over Alba Berlin at least temporarily.

The team of coach Aleksandar Djordjevic won on 14. With a score of 86:77 (45:35) at medi Bayreuth and eight points ahead of the capitals, which could follow Science City Jena on Saturday. Bayreuth occupies fifth place.

The Frankfurt Skyliners missed the jump to second place in the table. The Frankfurt team lost the Hessenderby at the Giessen 46ers surprisingly clearly 59:83 (37:40) and slipped with 18:10 points to seventh place behind ratiopharm Ulm (both 18:10). Giessen’s John Bryant was the most successful castor with 17 points.

EWE Baskets Oldenburg is also heading for the play-off places. The former champion won 72:71 (37:30) at the Mitteldeutsche BC and took ninth place in the standings.

In Bayreuth the game started half an hour later due to technical problems. Devin Booker and Milan Macvan convinced the leaders from Munich with 16 points each.
