NFL: Green Bay: Pursuit in front of Packers football stadium

A wild chase took place on Friday in front of the Green Bay Packers stadium. According to the local police chief Andrew Smith, a former food supplier of the famous Lambeau Field followed his ex-working colleague with a car and then crashed into a storage room in the arena. The victim was not injured and Smith rejected reports of allegedly fired shots.

The 20-year-old suspect had been dismissed by the food company after an argument with the later victim in December. On Friday he first rammed his former colleague’s car and pushed it into another van.

The victim then left his car and fled on foot across the parking lot. The suspect continued the car pursuit and drove over a loading ramp to a storage room in the stadium. There he was caught by the police.

The Packers will receive the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. According to Smith, the game is “as safe as any other game in Lambeau Field”.
