NBA: Because of LeBron?

The Los Angeles Lakers are planning big moves this summer and are probably interested in Paul George and LeBron James among others. However, they would still have to create cap space for this.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, however, the Lakers are confident that they will succeed with a Jordan Clarkson trade. However, the guard will probably not be traded until next summer, as he will give the Lakers the best chance to win games until then.

Clarkson, who is coming from the bank, currently has 13.9 points, with the best roll rate (46.3 percent) of his career so far. The Lakers are currently far from the playoffs with a 11-20 record, but since they do not have their own pick next year, there is no incentive for them to refuel.

The 25-year-old still has a contract valid until 2020 without options. Over the next two years he will earn a combined income of around $26 million.
