NFL: Luck:”Don’t need another operation”

It’s been a while since Andrew Luck’s last public contact with the media – on Friday it was finally back: Luck, who missed the entire Indianapolis Colts season due to his shoulder injury, was optimistic.

“I assume I don’t need another surgery. I’m on the right track, progress fits. I am now preparing to throw again,”said Luck at a press conference on Friday. I feel stronger, more stable and have more trust. The situation is better.”

Luck had undergone surgery on his shoulder in January after one and a half years of carrying the injury around with him. Indianapolis was optimistic for a long time, but the quarterback’s comeback date was pushed further and further back – until it became clear that Luck would no longer play in the current season.

The 28-year-old then went to Europe for a while and worked in the Netherlands with a specialist on his shoulder. However, he was not operated on and after Colts boss Jim Irsay had been optimistic, Luck now hit the same notch.

He went on to say that the preparation for the coming season will be fully involved:”I plan to be ready for anything. I don’t see in any way that the next season is in danger.”
