NBA: After controversy: NBA reflects on rule change

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s game against Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night was decided by a clearly irregular action in which Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo stepped on the line. The resulting controversy could lead to a change in the rules.

The referees had decided to act according to the rules and were therefore not able to watch the play again according to the rules. This had not only caused great anger among the Thunders. This kind of play will therefore be discussed at the Competition Committee meeting in March, as spokesman Tim Frank announced on Saturday.

“Referee Derrick Stafford had already explained shortly after the match that” for a review to be possible, there must have been a whistle “, but there was no whistle, so we couldn’t watch the play again.

Frank now announced that the committee will discuss various solutions. However, a change would not be possible until the 2018/19 season. There may also be no change.
