DEL: Krefeld hires Sweden Hanson

The Krefeld Penguins have awarded their last foreigner licence in the fight for play-off participation and signed the Swedish striker Greger Hanson.

This was shared by Table 13. on Thursday. The 29-year-old last went on ice for the San Diego Gulls in the North American AHL.

“Due to the injury-related breakdowns of Andrew Engelage, Mikko Vainonen and Jordan Caron, only six imported players were available to us last time, which was of course a disadvantage for us. With Greger, we have a fast forward with great offensive potential and an instinct for scoring goals,”said Krefeld coach Rick Adduono.

The penguins are six points behind a starting grid position in the pre-play-offs before the final quarter of the preliminary round.
