Basketball: BBL: Tübingen terminates contract with Richard

Walter Tigers Tübingen will have to do without one of their best scorers in the relegation fight of the German Basketball Bundesliga. The contract with the 27-year-old American Kris Richard, which originally ran until the end of the season, was terminated at the player’s request. This was confirmed by the bottom of the standings on Tuesday.

“We need players with whom we can tackle this difficult situation together. We don’t keep players here who don’t want to. That’s why we responded to the player’s request,”said Tigers Managing Director Robert Wintermantel.

With an average score of 11.5 points, Richard was Tübingen’s second best scorer this season after Reggie Upshaw (14.9). He will now join an association abroad, the Tigers did not say anything more.

Already on 31. The treaty of Richard’s compatriot Tony Easley was terminated by mutual agreement on 12 December. Both players had completed 13 BBL bets each for Tübingen. After 16 matches, the Tigers finish last with 2:30 points.
