Basketball: EuroCup: Bavaria loses for the first time – Ohlbrecht-Comeback near Ulm

Bundesliga leader Bayern Munich has lost its flawless record in the EuroCup. The 2014 champions lost 82:90 (48:38) to Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia from Italy at the end of the first group stage, their first defeat in the tenth game.

The Bayern had already qualified for the round of the best 16 teams as group winners like the former series champion Alba Berlin, but ratiopharm Ulm had already retired.

The Ulm team lost to Dolomiti Energia Trient/Italy 84:94 (46:46) and finished the first group stage on Group D’s last place.

However, former NBA pro Tim Ohlbrecht returned to the court after a year of injury-related time-out and scored nine points.

The Berliners who finished third in Group C won against Bilbao Basket 86:68 (51:31).
