Handball: Kiel continues upward trend in last game of the year

In the last game of the year, record champion THW Kiel continued its upward trend in the Bundesliga. The Zebras celebrated their fifth consecutive victory against rising TuS N-Lübbecke at 29:19 (16:8) and climbed to fifth place in the standings with 27:11 points.

After 19 matches, the THW thus also managed to catch up with the pursuers of the front-runner Rhein-Neckar Löwen (32:6) after 19 matches.

SC DHfK Leipzig, on the other hand, suffered a bitter defeat. The Saxons lost 26:27 (14:11) and dropped back to eighth place with 25:13 points despite a break at the HC Erlangen.

Frisch Auf Göppingen won against TV Hüttenberg 28:17 (14:7).

At 60. Nikola Bilyk, Patrick Wiencek and Niclas Ekberg from Kiel were the top players of the year in front of 10,825 spectators with five goals each. Among the guests Tim Remer (4) met most often.
