Handball: THW Kiel plans with ex-star Jicha as co-trainer

Record champion THW Kiel wants to enlist his former backroom star Filip Jicha (35) as assistant for coach Alfred Gislason (58)”The plan is that Filip Jicha will join us as co-trainer from next season”, said Gislason in an interview with Kieler Nachrichten.

Jicha had played for Kiel from 2007 to 2015, and in 2010 the Czech was voted world handball player of the year.

With the North Germans he won 14 national and international titles, including twice the Champions League, before moving to FC Barcelona.

The Czech had ended his career in the summer.
