The Buffalo Bills are still unlucky about their first playoff since 1999. The team sent 1,440 Chicken Wings from a local fast-food restaurant to Cincinnati out of gratitude for the support the Cincinnati Bengals gave to the Baltimore Ravens on the last day of play.
After Andy Dalton’s touchdown pass on Tyler Boyd, who brought the Bengals to a surprising victory in Baltimore in the final stage, giving the Bills a playoff appearance, Twitter account Buffalos posted in a thank-you note that they would send Wings to Cincinnati. This promise has now been honoured.
The fans of the Bills recently thanked the players responsible for the touchdown with donations to the foundations. After the match, 315,000 dollars were raised for Dalton’s charitable foundation until Thursday evening.
It’s not the first time an NFL team has given a gift to another to support the playoff race. The Pittsburgh Steelers, for example, sent a load of sandwiches to Buffalo in 2015, after which the Bills won their last game of the season against the New York Jets to ensure Pittsburgh’s playoffs.
