NFL: Media: Shazier regains feeling in his legs

Ryan Shazier seems to be making great strides in the recovery process after his fatal accident against the Cincinnati Bengals. According to media reports, the linebacker of the Pittsburgh Steelers has regained his feeling in his legs. This was probably explained by his father.

“‘ Father, pray for me. I can feel my legs again’, he told me,”explained Vernon Shazier, father of the injured linebacker, in an interview with WPXI. However, he did not want to disclose details of his son’s recovery.

Ryan Shazier underwent surgery in early December at the Medical Center of the University of Pittsburgh to stabilize the spine at the back. The two-time Pro Bowler had been injured in a tackle attempt and was then removed from the field without any movement in his legs.

According to his father, a “daily progress” was visible and Ryan had already “gone a long way”since his injury. The father hopes that one day the son will be able to play football again.
