Ski Alpin: Skiing in Adelboden at risk after landslide: Ski World Cup in Adelboden

The Alpine Ski World Cup races in Adelboden/Switzerland this coming weekend are at risk. As the organizers announced on Thursday evening, an access road to the winter sports resort had to be closed due to a landslide.

On Friday morning, the situation will be examined with geologists and assessed by the responsible authorities.

The piste work continued, however, and there was still optimism that the races could be held. Switzerland was also affected by the storm low Burglind on Wednesday.

In Adelboden, a giant slalom is scheduled for the men on Saturday and a slalom on Sunday.
