Biathlon: Relay in Oberhof without Dahlmeier and Hildebrand

Seven-times biathlon world champion Laura Dahlmeier foregoes a start in the relay on Sunday (11.30 a. m. in the LIVETICKER) at the World Cup in Oberhof. As the German Ski Association (DSV) announced on Saturday, Vanessa Hinz, Denise Herrmann, Franziska Preuß and Maren Hammerschmidt form the squad of national coach Gerald Hönig.

Dahlmeier started the Olympic year in the Thuringian Forest with 13th place in the sprint and seventh place in the pursuit, after she had been slowed down by an infection over Christmas. Franziska Hildebrand, who had achieved the best result for the DSV ladies in Oberhof with fourth place in the sprint, will also be missing in the relay.

The next World Cup is already scheduled for next week, the women will start with the individual race on Thursday in Ruhpolding.
