In last night’s smackdown edition, the feud between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon continues. In the women’s event, the last contestant of the Royal Rumble takes part.
After General Manager Daniel Bryan had decided last week that WWE Champion AJ Styles will be competing in the Royal Rumble on 28-28 October, WWE Champion AJ Styles will be back on the pitch. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who could take the title at the Rumble, were outnumbered for a change, against AJ, Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton.
The two heels wanted to save themselves first by Countout and then by DQ, but Shane-O-Mac started the match anew. In the end, Zayn was knocked out. through Nakamura and Orton, while Owens fought with styles in the background. To be continued.
In the women’s event Becky Lynch returned to the ring and was confronted with Ruby Riott from Riott Squad. Riott’s comrades-in-arms were kept in check by Charlotte and Naomi, and Lynch finally won through the DisArmHer. Lynch also declared as the last lady from Smackdown to participate in the Royal Rumble:”I am the last of Smackdown to participate. That’s no coincidence, because I’ll be the last one in the ring.”
The day before Samoa Joe also injured his foot badly, as the WWE confirmed in the meantime – it should not be a storyline. The colossus has suffered a tear in the ligament tissue of the right foot and will probably be missing for several weeks. This makes it almost certain for the rumble.
