Winter sports: Canadian Kingsbury celebrates record victory

The Canadian freestyle skier Mikael Kingsbury has won the 47th place in the category. World Cup victory on the mogul piste. In Deer Valley/US state of Utah, the 25-year-old surpassed the previous best mark of the two American Olympic champions Hannah Kearney and Donna Weinbrecht.

Kingsbury has won all five World Cup competitions this winter, his winning streak spanning twelve competitions. He was last beaten on 28. January 2017 at his home World Cup in Calgary by the Australian Graham Matt.

The two-time world champion still has one big goal: Olympic gold. At the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Kingsbury’s silver medal was enough for his compatriot Alex Bilodeau.
