Former handball pro Stefan Kretzschmar criticized the team before the German start of the World Handball Championship. Routine Patrick Groetzki has little to do with it.

“We haven’t produced a new hero in years,”Kretzschmar said, thus creating discussions in German handball. While today’s handball expert recognizes a management problem in German handball, Groetzki sees no problem.

The DHB leader says,”I think we’ve got guys on the team,” but Groetzki has a different perception of a leading player:”The most important thing is to show your performance on the handball field anyway in order to move the team forward”.

Leadership has little to do with speech for the 28-year-old:”It is less important for the 28-year-old to be represented on all kinds of social media channels and to express his opinion without being asked about world politics. We are and remain authentic.”
