NFL: Le`Veon Bell speaks of resignation on another Franchise Day

One of the best running backs in the league is frightening fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers and all football enthusiasts with his statements. Le’ Veon Bell explained to media reports that he would even consider suspending or even withdrawing from the franchise for another day.

“I hope it doesn’t come to that. But if it does, I will definitely consider it,”Bell is said to have spoken to ESPN. Bell already played under the franchise day this season, earning him $12.1 million. Another day would increase his salary next year to $14.5 million.

Last July, Bell and the Steelers were unable to agree on a deal after the 25-year-old man was offered $30 million over the first two years of the deal,”The numbers have to be right,”Bell explained,”I know exactly what I’m worth. I won’t play if I have to carry the ball 400 times and then don’t get what I think I’m worth.”

When asked what the Steelers should do best in this off-season, Bell replied:”Valuing me! February to the 6th. In March, teams have the opportunity to give away one day. This gives them the opportunity to extend the period for a new contract extension until the 16th day of the contract. July.

Bell ran 321 times this season for 1,291 yards, caught 85 passes for 655 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. His 7,996 yards in 62 games of his career are most of a player in the NFL since 1970.
