In the BBL’s all-star game, Team International clinched its ninth victory in the tenth attempt. In Göttingen, the international stars of BBL won 145:132 (74:64) against Team National.
Only in 2016 did the German Bundesliga stars prevail, some of whom had suffered significant defeats in previous years. All in all it was the 30th birthday. The second edition of the Allstar-Game took place, at first there was an annual duel between North and South.
The best thrower of the match was Alba Berlin’s American Peyton Siva with 23 points. Devin Booker from Bayern Munich shone with 22 points for the winning team. Of the German stars, Berlin’s Joshiko Saibou (20) was the most successful.
Former national coach Dirk Bauermann (60/s. Oliver Würzburg) was on the sidelines for the fourth time as coach of the National team at the Allstar Game.
National player Maodo Lo (25) from serial champion Brose Bamberg won the three-way contest with 17 points. In the final he won against Siva and Thomas Walkup from MHP Giant Ludwigsburg. The winner of the Dunking Contest was US-American Jamar Abrams (28) from the Giessen 46ers.
