NHL: Draisaitl defeats Rieder – Grubauer strong

Leon Draisaitl won the German duel against Tobias Rieder in the NHL. The native of Cologne prevailed with the Edmonton Oilers 4:2 at Rieder’s Arizona Coyotes.

Goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer also celebrated a victory. At the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 of his Washington Capitals, the keeper showed a strong performance and blocked 36 of the 39 shots to his goal.

Draisaitl played Darnell Nurse’s (44th) 2-3 lead to a 35th place. Scorer point. Edmonton proved morale against the Coyotes: The Canadians were trailing by 2-0 after only 3:17 minutes, but Nurse (15th) and Patrick Maroon (20th) were equalizers in the first period.
