Knicks dismissed Ramon Sessions – Is Trey Burke coming?

The New York Knicks have dismissed Ramon Sessions. The knickerbockers apparently already have a replacement for the Point Guard. The former Lottery Pick Trey Burke, currently active at Westchester Knicks, is to join Jeff Hornacek’s team.

“We thank Ramon for his professionalism and leadership as a veteran,”said General Manager Scott Perry in a statement,”He has earned the respect of the whole organization and we wish him all the best.”

Sessions was the starter at the beginning of the season at Knicks, but only played 13 games in which he played an average of 3.7 points and 2.1 assists. Instead, Hornacek relied on veteran Jarrett Jack and Rookie Frank Ntilikina for the remainder of the season.

Nevertheless, according to information from ESPN, the Knicks will once again bring a third point guard into the squad. It is said to be Trey Burke, currently playing for the G-League team of the Knicks, Westchester Knicks. In the training league, the former college star scored 26.6 points per game with a throwing rate of 49 percent. The Guard will sign a contract with the Manhattan franchise on Sunday until the end of the season.

Burke was dragged to ninth place by Utah Jazz in 2013, but could never live up to expectations. Last season, Burke was signed to the Washington Wizards. In 57 games he scored 5.0 points and 1.8 assists per game.
