NFL: Ben Roethlisberger continues his work

The expected drama around Le’ Veon Bell will probably be unavoidable, but there is no other problem for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the off-season this year: quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will continue.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette quotes Roethlisberger with the words:”I plan to come back next year”, Roethlisberger said after the surprising home defeat in the Divisional Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars (42:45).

At the post-match press conference, Roethlisberger went on to say:”I don’t know anything about contracts and who’s coming back, but I know who the front runners are and that’s what makes it good for me,”and added:”I’m looking forward to next year with these guys.”

A career end of the quarterback seems not to be an issue this year. A few weeks after the end of the season last year it was still unclear whether “Big Ben” would continue. He had openly circulated with a resignation.
