Handball European Championship: Video proof drama:”The decision was a clear one”.

Germany broke up with Slovenia in a dramatic game of 25:25. Because the Slovenians were already obstructing the last German attack at the time of the throw-in, there was a seven-metre difference for the DHB team – which Tobias Reichmann transformed after the time had elapsed, thanks to video evidence.

“The decision was a clear one, three men were in the throw-in circle,”Reichmann said after the match,”I’ve never seen anything like that before,”added backroom player Julius Kühn.

Christian Prokop did not want to comment on whether the decision of the Lithuanian referees Mindaugas Gatelis and Vaidas Mazeika was correct. The national coach explained that he wanted to watch the TV pictures in peace and quiet.

Prokop just said,”I’m glad that there’s video evidence and I’m happy that Tobias Reichmann kept his nerves.”
