Olympia 2018: Neureuther wishes more mature athletes:”Then you could change something.”

Felix Neureuther wants more athletes to join his public criticism of the IOC.

“I find it a pity that other athletes are holding back. If there were a lot of people standing behind it, you could change something,”the 33-year-old told the SID in Munich on Tuesday:”But nothing changes at all, so they can carry on as they want to”.

Neureuther, who played the upcoming games in Pyeongchang, South Korea (9. till 25. February) after a ruptured cruciate ligament, the IOC was recently publicly accused of having “trampled underfoot” the “beautiful product” Olympia out of greed for money and for commerce. Since then, many sportsmen and women have come to him to praise him for his statements – but in public hardly anyone would join the criticism.
