Ice Hockey: DEL: Iserlohn Roosters extend with coach Daum

The Iserlohn Roosters from the DEL have extended their contract with head coach Rob Daum prematurely until 2020.

“The fact that Rob Daum is a good coach and an excellent tactician has been confirmed by the fact that he is able to find a special human approach to his players. That’s why we decided to go into the future with him,”said Wolfgang Brück, managing partner of Iserlohn Roosters GmbH & Co. KG.

The Canadian Daum, who turns 60 on Friday, changed to the Seilersee last October. The Roosters are currently in sixth place in the standings and are on a play-off course:”Personally, I have been extremely well received at the Seilersee, and I have found a sporting challenge,”said Daum.
